Hermia loves Lysander. Demetrius is hoked on Hermia. He's pursued by Helena, but no one's keen on her. With mischief lurking in the forest, magic's going to turn their world upside down.
Gameshow's supercharged take on this classic tale combines a relish for Shakespeare's verse with original music and a tight ensemble cast.

A ten-strong chorus led by two directors explores rhythm in words, music and movement. Gameshow will run three workshops asking the question 'does an ensemble have a sixth sense?' at Arch 468, Brixton.
The Gameshow Chorus:
- developed ideas through collaboration
- drew on the traditional role of a chorus in ancient drama
- devised original work
- collaborated with performers from a variety of backgrounds, including dance and physical theatre
This work will be the starting point for a future, full-length Gameshow production and was kindly supported by Arch 468.

An evening of pop-up theatre, guerrilla art and walkabout work in The Cut Bar at the Young Vic, curated by GETINTHEBACKOFTHEVAN. A work in progress night that re-imagines performance space and lets you choose to be anywhere between incognito and in your face. Gameshow presents Soliony versus Irina: using the characters from Chekhov's Three Sisters as a starting point, Gameshow asks the question 'When does behaviour become performance?'

Frankfurt, 1935. As a fascist government takes control, a woman plans her escape. This year's JMK award-winner takes a fresh look at a work of personal tragedy and national travesty. A woman abandons her home, friends and family in an intimate moment played out across 1930s Germany. Immersing the audience in a landscape of domesticity and fear throughout the building, director Matthew Evans presents epic theatre on a small scale.

A drummer finds a stool and drumsticks. He starts playing the invisible drum kit in front of him. Piece by piece, the kit is assembled. Sometimes we hear things when we don't see them. Sometimes we see something before we hear it.

I know a bank was an explosion of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, set on Fiddlers Island halfway across the River Thames in Oxford. The audience were immersed in the magic and madness of the wood, following the lovers, the fairies and the mechanicals with the unexpected lurking behind the next tree.
